Individual Guitar Making Course

 

For those who want the same complete classical or flamenco guitar-building experience as our Small Group course, but entirely on their own schedule and with undivided attention throughout.

 

The Individual Course follows the same structure, curriculum, and 4-week timeline as the Small Group course — the difference is that it's just
you and me in the workshop, one-to-one, for the whole build.

 

What's different from the Small Group course

 

You set the dates.

 

The Small Group course runs on three fixed dates
a year. The Individual Course can be booked any time of year, so it's
the better option if the group dates don't work with your schedule, or
if you'd simply rather not wait for the next intake.

 

One-to-one teaching throughout.

 

With no other students to share attention with, instruction is tailored entirely to your pace and experience level — whether that means slowing down on a technique you're finding difficult, or moving faster through steps you've already mastered.


 

A little more room for finishing.

 

While French polishing still falls outside the standard course on both formats, the one-to-one pace often allows a bit more time to refine finishing details on your instrument than is possible in the group setting.

 

Same build, same standard.

 

You'll work through the identical process as the Small Group course — rosette design and construction, soundboard thicknessing and voicing, neck and fretboard, back and bridge, right through to final assembly in the solera mould — using the same combination of hand tools and machine tools, and the same choice of classical or flamenco specification.
